About us
Mission Gen Atlantis was founded on a simple belief: young people should not have to wait until adulthood to engage with the institutions, policies and decisions shaping their lives. Our vision is to build a generation of young thinkers, leaders and change makers who understand the world deeply enough to question it, and are equipped boldly enough to improve it. We imagine civic engagement not as something confined to textbooks, elections or government offices, but as something young people can practise every day: debating policy, designing solutions, building institutions, collaborating across borders and learning to turn ideas into action. Through experiences spanning public policy, economics, diplomacy, entrepreneurship, governance and innovation, Mission Gen Atlantis seeks to make leadership more accessible, global and consequential. We are building not simply a community of students, but an ecosystem in which young people learn to see themselves as participants in the future, rather than spectators of it.
Our Vision
Mission Gen Atlantis is a youth-led civic innovation platform bringing together students interested in policy, governance, economics, leadership and global affairs. What began as an attempt to create spaces for young people to engage seriously with public issues has grown into an international community of 5,000+ young people, supported by a 20+ member leadership council and a network extending across India, the United States, Japan, Sri Lanka and Turkey. Our work sits at the intersection of policy education, leadership development, innovation and global collaboration. We create experiences that move beyond conventional competitions and conferences. Students do not simply discuss problems. They negotiate legislation, design ventures, analyse institutions, engage with experts, collaborate across countries and develop solutions of their own.
Our initiatives have included:
Policy simulations and civic programmes, including Policy Isles and Model American Congress experiences that introduce students to legislative negotiation, policymaking and democratic institutions.
Innovation and entrepreneurship challenges, including youth-focused Shark Tank-style programmes where students develop and defend solutions to real-world problems.
International cultural and policy exchanges, connecting young people across countries, including India and Japan, to encourage dialogue beyond geographic and cultural boundaries.
Government and institutional exposure, through delegations, briefings and opportunities that bring students closer to the institutions they study.
Leadership and mentorship initiatives, giving students opportunities not only to participate, but eventually to organise, teach and lead.
Digital civic education, using our website, blog and social platforms to make conversations around economics, policy and global affairs accessible to a much wider audience.
Across every initiative, the objective remains the same: to transform curiosity into capability.
Impact
Mission Gen Atlantis has grown from a youth-led idea into an international civic innovation platform engaging 5,000+ young people across India, the United States, Japan, Sri Lanka and Turkey. Through policy simulations, civic literacy programmes, innovation challenges, international exchanges and leadership initiatives, we create opportunities for young people to move beyond discussing global issues and engage directly with the institutions, ideas and people shaping them.
Our work has included interactions and interviews with government officials at JNPT, diplomatic engagements, international student exchanges, policy and civic education programmes, and participation in wider youth platforms such as the Youth Opportunity Passion Summit, alongside changemakers including Palak Khanna. These experiences are designed to give students meaningful exposure to policymaking, governance, diplomacy, entrepreneurship and public leadership beyond the classroom.
Mission Gen Atlantis has generated 1.8M+ views on Instagram, while our website and blog have attracted visitors from 40+ countries. Behind this growth is a 20+ member council working across programmes, partnerships, outreach and international expansion.
But our impact is ultimately defined by what those numbers represent: young people gaining access to conversations, institutions and opportunities they may not otherwise encounter, building initiatives of their own, collaborating across borders and beginning to see themselves not merely as observers of change, but as participants in creating it.
