Mission Gen Atlantis proudly hosted the Ocean Charter Essay Writing Competition 2025, a national-level initiative designed to empower young minds to express their ideas on judicial and constitutional reform in India. The competition received an overwhelming response from passionate students across the country and was a grand success, thanks to our participants, mentors, and judges who made it a truly meaningful experience.
💡 The Inspiration Behind Ocean Charter
At Mission Gen Atlantis, we believe every voice deserves to be heard — not just those confident on a debate stage. We recognized that many students who have brilliant ideas often hesitate to participate in debates or MUNs due to stage fright or social anxiety. Thus, The Ocean Charter was born — a platform that allows students to make waves through their words instead of their speeches.
Participants were encouraged to explore how India’s judicial system can evolve with modern times. The prompts included discussions on: The role of Artificial Intelligence in judicial efficiency and reform; Reconsidering laws for minors and the need for differentiated legal frameworks; The future of India’s justice system and its impact on citizens. These themes inspired students to combine analytical thinking, research, and creative reasoning — truly reflecting the intersection of law, technology, and youth perspective.
⚖️ The Theme: Judicial & Constitutional Reform
The competition followed a three-stage process:
1. Initial Screening Panel: Essays were first reviewed by our expert evaluation team based on originality, argumentation, and clarity.
2. Mentorship Week: Shortlisted candidates were mentored for one week by the Mission Gen Atlantis Core Council and guest experts, helping them refine their essays before the final round.
3. Final Judging Panel included: Yeheill Shah ( Recipient of a Commendation in The Prestigious John Lock Essay Competition) and Advocate Amit Patil (One of India’s most prestigious lawyers). Their combined expertise ensured fair, insightful, and holistic feedback for every participant.
